GAIC, ABT, or APR.
I've read alot about the GAIC and APR (both $595), but what about the ABT from Stramoshpere. They quoted me $795. Only pro is they are local for me.

Here is a PDF of the Abt chip.
AMS does the conversion to North American fuel and hardware. The software is TUV approved in Germany and much of that work gets carried over to the chips sold here.
Abt as a company, has been in business for over 100 years. AMS has been in VW and Audi tuning for over 15 years, and an Abt dealer for over 10.
If you have a Tip, they offer a reduced torque chip ( 300lb ft ) to keep the torque under ZF limits.

Ming...quick question...
Few days ago you posted the run result of your friend who has 2.7l tip with chip. Any problem with the transmission? is he out of warranty yet? is he concern at all? As I recall, a lot of people telling me that the transmission can only handle 310 lbs of torque...the chip will put the torque number well above that...

Abt/AMS all the way!
I can't comment on the other chips. However, before I decided to go with AMS/Abt, I did a thorough search on AW and found that Abt/AMS owners seemed to be the happiest, both because of reliability and performance. The power curve is very smooth, and the car pulls like a maniac.
As to customer service, I never purchased from Stratmosphere (at least directly), but they have good reputation. A very important factor is that they are local to you! AMS is semi-local to me (40 miles), and that helped my decision. They have always been very helpful and prompt to answer my questions. Hope that helps!

if i am not mistaken its still 310hp and 300lbs like April said
i dont know what bar it is though. I think the turbo still run the same but when they go full boost and other parameters I have no clue. Maybe shoot an Email to Marc at AMS. I would think a tuner could design you a chip that uses lower boost.
