not sure if there are any 3.0 chips available yet for 3.0 engines...
chipping is more effective (read: greater improvements in hp/torque, powerband, etc...) for turbo engines... but you'll still get some improvement on a NA engine... just don't expect to be holding tight with a V8 or anything, cuz it won't.

I'm sure there will be something soon, but the gains are not going to be as dramatic as with turbos.
If you're car has a Tip, you might consider a Tip chip...more dramatic effect and less likely to be discovered by the dealer during warranteed services.

Upsolute chip for the 30V/3.0L (although for the A4). I guess this would work for the A6...Gains are minimal but you get rid of that top speed limiter!

Not really... especially considering they void any warranty on the car.
You probably get the same result from after cat exhaust system that wouldn't void the warranty.
Most chips will only adavance timing or play around with fuel/air mixture. Most tests in the mazagines yield no significant gain in performance but often just improve throttle respond and make engine rougher despite what the chip manufactures claim. Only turbo car would benefit greatly from a chip mod. A chip mod for 3.0 would be more significant if the chip is designed with after market air filter or exhaust in mind to maximize each mod. Otherwise, no way in hell would I chip a 3.0, the same money you spend you could probably be drining the 2.7tt
