Default A6 Avant cargo net question...

Where is the avant cargo net located?
Behind the rear seats when they are up?
Behind the front seats when the rear seats are down?
Either?

Thanks!

Default Huh? Which net?

There are two, really. One that holds stuff down on the floor in the cargo area horizontally and another that extends from the rear seatback up to the ceiling vertically.

I was curious about the vertical one. It sounds like it is where I want it: so I can put my dog behind the rear seats...and have her stay there ;-)

Default But they won't keep your dog in the back.

My colleague once made that mistake. He picked up a stray that was causing a nuisance to road traffic, and it was pretty muddy.

He put the cargo restraint net up and thought that would do the job. It's too flexible and "man's best friend" decided to wriggle through it and proceded to leap around all over the car placing muddy footprints everywhere.

Get a proper dog guard if that's what you need. The net is purely there so that if you brake suddenly with a full load, you don't get squashed by the load ramping over the back seats.

Yeah, I can just see trying to use that net to hold back my Bullmastiffs!

those dog guards will effect your airbag curtains from deploying properly. Check the manual.

Actually the net will work fine. My dog (yellow lab) is pretty docile so I think she will stay put.

Thanks for all of the responses.
