Why the hell did I wait so long?
Man have I been enjoying my new A6 2.7!
It's so smooth and powerful, I like it much better than the GS400 I just got rid of, I've put on almost 300 miles in two days and it tracks on rails compared to the GS!
Now I know what I've been missing, if the reliability will be as good as the GS400 was this will be the best car choice I've made in a long time.
Now I know what you all have been talking about, its hard to believe the 4.2 is much smoother than this , I find this engine smooth powerful and just plain enjoyable!

2.7T = chunky; 4.2 = creamy
just kidding...the 2.7T is pretty smooth...the 4.2 is just a little smoother...but not necessarily better...
Congrats...enjoy the car...definitely not "boring" like the Lexus...the Lexus is just too smooth all over...
Now, don't go getting ahead of yourself...unless your Lexus sucked, the Audi won't likely be as reliable...but ya' gotta take the good with the bad. Mine have been remarkably trouble-free...minor stuff really.

yeah, you lose some of the smoothness with the turbos.
wish I had a nice V-8 sometimes (especially when its hot and the turbos are gasping for cool air)... must be nice to have two. ; )
