Audi will bring over 990 RS6's...!!!

According to AutoWeek's September 16th issue, Audi will increase the number of RS6's from the originally planned 860 to 990. Len Hunt, Audi of North American chief says, "We didn't want to bring in too many so as to lose the [limited-edition] cachet, but we wanted to build enough to get them in the hands of enthusiasts."

Lower the price?
BMW M5's are still selling over list in places 4 years after it was introduced. Limited supply, and a waiting list of buyers. Why should Audi lower the price? I wouldn't either. It's the law of the jungle when it comes to cars like these. I have NO regrets for paying over list for my M5 and I'm sure that I won't if I get an RS6 either. Until the new M cars come out, I wouldn't mind driving an RS6 for a year or two. Don't know yet, I'd miss the stick and I'm not sure of the driving dynamics. The M5 drives so much better than my 4.2, even with the full blown ABT suspension I had. I'm not knocking the RS6, no, it's not better or worse than the M5, just a different car period. Does the RS6 stomp the M5, no. The balance of the Audi is quite un-natural when pushed.
