Peformance Differentials
Is it possible to upgrade the factory differentials or gears for the A6? My drivetrain is completely stock but I would like to know if there's a possibility of upgrading it.

Problem is 2 of the differentials are in the tranny.
The "center" differential, which is a torsen, and the front "normal" differential are both in the transmission. This would make any change, though I am not sure any is available, very difficult. I would imagine that different ratios would be available somewhere but beyond that what are you looking for? I have not heard of anyone breaking any of the differentials and, unless you are planning major racing in snow or ice, you will get just as traction with the standard "electronic differential lock" (EDL) as with anything else. The brakes will get hot if you spin the wheels a lot but, as I said befor, that is really only possible if you push very hard on very slippery surfaces (especially with a 2.8 tiptronic).
