Hey Finman - on your Allroad carpet trunk mat, how does that 'cargo logic' system work?

I see in the Audi photos a bunch of plastic boxes that appear attached to the carpet - are they just like a plastic version of Velcro that semi-adheres to the carpeted surface, or are they affixed permanently?

4 corner shaped blocks with velcro on the bottom...they actually work...

very well and the velcro really grabs...it comes with 4 corners, but you can buy more...you just have to live with the "allroad" logo...but that's ok...although I wish it said "Avant" instead if it couldn't say "S6"...

Did you consider the 'carpeted cargo mat' for the A6?

That picture is of the foam mat...the pic is wrong...

the way I've read the stuff on the A6 Avant mat is that it never mentions that it has a rubber backing...the allroad mat says it has the rubber backing...so I didn't want to risk it...
The rubber is obviously very important for waterproofness...so I didn't want just carpeting...I've never actually seen the A6 Avant carpeted mat so I can't say whether it actually has the rubber backing.
