Local Audi dealer discounting new 2002 S6 $7200! is that a good deal?

It would be better if it were slightly used...
that way you wouldn't hafta pay the $2100 gas-guzzler tax or the $500+ luxury tax...
but that is a price right around invoice...which is probably an ok deal right now...just remember if you were to buy a new '03 you'd likely have to pay $5-6k more for it...but it would be worth more in resale 3-7 years down the road. Pay now or pay later.
Also must factor in available interest rates for '02 vs '03...may be the same, may be different, you may be paying cash...
Also, the gas tax is lowered to $1700 on the '03 and the lux tax disappears Jan 1...not a huge difference, but that's $1000 more for this one than waiting for an '03...and you are saving only $5-6k on the '02.

Actually at Edmunds it doesn't mention a g-g tax at all for the '03 but does for the '02...they are just missing it...
