Default My ride turned 50K today!

I have audi assured until 100K or December 2003. Probably 10-12 more months to go before I trade in (only what should I get?). Guess theres no time like the present to start planning. Anything I should do for now? Last service was at 48K (for the missed 45K as I purchased pre-owned at 45.5K) Next service isnt until 52,700 but you never can be too carefull.

Default Why would your next service be only 4700 miles after your last?

Personally, I would do the every 10k or 20k "services" and do the intermediate oil changes myself. Most of these services are "checking" this and that...making sure the CV boots aren't cracked, checking the fluid levels, checking the computer for errors, replacing air filters, etc...very easy stuff to do yourself.

I think I'd let them do the brake fluid, the coolant, spark plugs, the tranny fluid, etc...and of course, the timing belt, etc. Even though most of that stuff is easy for many here, I don't know how to do it right, so I might as well have someone else do it...
It just seems strange to drop $500-$1000 on a "service" every 10k when mostly what they do is "check"...

Default Perhaps on that fancy 4.2 and S6 ;) but its only $100 for my 2.8 to get service.

I thought it was strange too, last I checked the next service was at 55000 miles and not this new 52700? I think Audi changed the service inetrvals on the "My Audi" page where I referenced it because the layout has been redesigned as well as the fonts on the pull down menu which signifies the number of miles per service intervals.

Regardless, $500-1000 for service!! Will never happen to me........well, mabey not until my next Audi, whatever that is
