I got my trade up from their initial offer of $2000 to $2800. The going rate on kbb.com is $2100 for trade so I don't feel so bad.

If you really want the dealer to help you out, call them and gently tell them you won't take delivery on the car until it's resolved. Once you take delivery, your leverage is gone. But be reasonable, of course... If they won't bite on that, use their refusal as leverage to work a deal on an extended warrantee or audi merchandise or something else you could use.
I was one of the few who got a full-size spare with my 2001 2.7T sport package because I was a pest after the sale. It would have been so much easier if I had done it before taking delivery.
