Compared a BMW 530 to my new A6 2.7t today
I drove a colleage's new BMW 530 today and was blown away by the interior appointments. The radio console and controls were so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. It's much nicer than my new A6 which lacks the retractable radio door of my 98 model. The A6 radio console is a mess. It's more Toyota Corolla than Audi.
On the other hand, I was blown away by how similar the 2.7t's ride handling an steering was to the Bimmer. For an AWD car with more size and weight that's quite an accomplishment.

Exactly! Strange post...what's next
I suppose he will say the BMW handles better in snow and has more rear seat legroom.
Or perhaps the A6 has snobbier drivers and is preferred by C&D.

Funny...
I checked both cars out, along with a few others (GS300, E320..) The interior of the 530i was the least impressive. The 2.7T had quality material only matched by the Merc, but that was $9,000 more with no AWD.
