I don't know of anyone using one on the 2.8. I have a '98 2.8 and did research on this and found out that for the $300-$400 cost of the chip, you only get about 10hp! It's not worth it for the potential problems that you may get from it. The tip tranny chip might be worth the $250. I'm debating this one.

Keller is exactly right - I have a 1999 A6 and was all Gung-Ho on getting a chip - but after I researched it - the best chip I found offered 11 HP increase(99% of the others offered only 8 to 9 HP) and around 4 to 6 MPG increase - not worth the $400 pricetag they were asking.
