Yeah, I, too, have been using VLC for formats not supported by Quicktime.

Suggestions for a moderately simple (and moderately priced!) audio program?

Looking to replace our old OS 9 util w/ something on X that will record, and do modest editing. Not looking for high-end, just something to slice and dice sounds a bit.

Ah yes, good old VLC. Been using it since it was launched last year. Great for dvx/divx formats.
