Suspension for 2.8 (a few ?'s)
So I guess my questions are:
I thought just springs alone was a no no for the 2.8 and I thought they lowered between 1.3-1.5 inches, not a lame half inch.
I thought Eibach made a "Pro Kit" but what exactly does that involve, coil overs without adjustability (so basically the Eibach Springs with Dampeners?)
I contacted them for info but left more confused then I started.
I dont want to f***k up my ride (especially considering labors gonna cost more then the shocks or whatever...)
Who has done suspension modifications on a 2.8 (2.7T'ers as well as I understand the 4.2 is a different kit due to the weight of the V8). I'm trying to narrow down what I should get for my specific auto (1998 2.8 quattro) and how much I should figure is reasonable.
I am mainly interested in Eibach, since this is what I beleive Audi specs OEM on its sports packages, plus I like how lower 2.7's look (and I like how they feel, when shopping for 4.2's I have tried many 2.7T's).
All suggestions, explanations and instruction is welcome. Thanks to all.

I've never ridden in a car with the full Eibach setup, but if I had to guess I would say it is probably a little less firm than mine. Every sport sedan I've ridden in with Bilsteins has a fairly firm ride. Hope that helps a little, maybe Dallas could elaborate on his suspension setup.

I don't know what kind of crack the guy was smoking, but Eibach is about 1.5" for the pro-kit springs, the dampers are definately needed if you don't want to be pulling them off again in 6 months to replace your blown out shocks.
Coilovers without adjustability are shocks and springs =ş
