CHICKEN

Sad to say it, but i'm too chicken CHIP. Want to, but can't afford new turbos or time fighting with dealer. All hope is not lost though. I was looking to upgrade to K&N air filter and the exhaust set-ups below.

Does anyone have any of these setups, without the chip. I was wondering how much HP & LB-FT I'll gain with just these upgrades. Does the $ to HP ratio even make sense.

Just buy a spare Ecu and vag. You should be fine

Bah. Other than the chip, other upgrades are costly and have marginal effect on HP or torque.

I understand and agree with your fears. I'm waiting 'til my warranty is expired and then re-think. I may chip, or I may stick with wheel and suspension mods.

Any of the mods you discuss could create the very same dealer issues. They are very touchy about mods these days.

Save your money, those mods will not yield a significant gain.....

In my opinion. There is a difference between a measurable increase and one you can really feel. Chips you can really feel in the 2.7T. Air Filter... probably no change. Exhaust... personally I think the stock exhaust flow as much as it needs to without significant restriction. Likely the exhaust will net you very little gain if any. Might sound cool though.

Thanks everyone. I know chipping is the ultimate bang for the buck and I don't want to shell out $$$ for exhaust and not be thrilled. That will suck every day I drive, until I get over it.
