kudos to John Eshelman @ The Auto Gallery in Woodland Hills CA...
Car died late Wed PM and I limped into the dealership. John got a Tech on it within an hour. This was the missing O ring situation I reported on earlier. Had to order O ring. Subsequent diagnotics pointed to a bad MAF sensor which they replaced at no charge. They also noted that a previous repair (leaking tranny oil cooler) needed to be redone. They would have done it but they couldn't get the part before the weekend. I'll bring it to my reg dealer next week.
