Brakes

At the same visit as my last post...The dealer(Dealer A) says I need new rear rotors...they are thin.

My car is a 99 2.8, the rear rotors/pads were never replaced. I twisted the original dealer's(Dealer B) arm to restore the brakes 1 month after I got the car(2 months ago)...They changed the pads and said the rotors were fine.

Dealer A says that I need new pads again since the rotors are 'bad'. Can rotors go from decent to crappy in 2500 miles? Can the pads go bad from bad rotors? I do mostly highway driving.

Also, if the dealer replaces the pads, shouldn't they have some sort of warranty.

Please advise...I want to go back to these people with ammo.

run your finger (before driving, otherwise hot) over rotors. if they are smooth with no grooves...

you should be ok on both rotors and pads if the pads were replaced. find a trustworthy mechanic and have them check them out. you can order oem pads the http://thepartsbin.com or look at some posts for other pads that produce less dust. dealer maintenance over 50K can get quite expensive.
