Leaking Washer Fluid
How does one remove the windshield washer fluid reservoir for closer inspection and potential replacement?
Thanks to everyone, I've been extra careful about my front bumper. I actually had the recall done about a month ago. Unfortunately about 2 weeks ago I was pulling out of a parking lot onto a street and scraped the lower driver's side part of the front bumper.
Shortly after that my washer fluid indicator went on.
I had never used my headlight washers since the recall. I checked down below the headlights (inside) and noticed that the washer fluid line from the reservoir to the headlight washers had separated. It's held together with a hose clamp. A real pain to get at.
I'll let the dealer take care of it in another week when I take it in for parts that they had ordered for some initial issues that the car had.
Don't know if this will help, but it's where I'm seeing my leak. I just don't use the headlight washers, because whenever I try, the hose separates.
Just washed, clayed and waxed the car today. Can't wait to use one of the photos. Last car was a '95 Subaru Legacy L w/154K miles. Last weekend went to VT on Friday night and the car performed flawlessy in the snow. Couldn't ask for more. Happy to be back in a German car.
