Has anyone tried ContiExtreme Contacts

in the size of 255/40/17...or others. Any comments? They are cheap, $111 at tirerack, and pretty decent scores too...dunno how reliable those are...

I've had them (205/55V16) on my '99 A6 Avant for the past 2k miles. Drove through heavy rain for the first time with them last Friday and found them to be very resistant to hydroplaning. Tracks and corners well dry as well. So far, I'm very happy with them.

Charlie, did you get them for $111 -- I just tried Tirerack and they're $125...?
