Does anyone have any ideas on

what to use to trim the rear valence? Here is the deal; I am going to cut notchs out of my rear valence so I can have tips welded on the exhaust of my '01 4.2 (my brother-in-law owns a body shop and also does customizing). I would like to give the cut out area a "finished" look. I've contacted a couple of companies and so far their trim pieces only fit 2.7T's. Any ideas? Thanks.

there is no seperate trim piece, it is all one bumper skin

there is another part that fills some other space under there

Yes I know that but

some companies make a "clean up kit" for after market exhaust installations on pre-'02 A6's. (LLTEK is one). So far the companies I have contacted only make them for the 2.7T and not the 4.2. Unforunetly there is a difference between the two bumper skins so I can't use the kit on my 4.2. I did take a long walk through the hardware store yesterday and nothing really stood out.
