Warranty Woes
I dropped my car off this weekend and just got a call from the dealer and apparently my car is out of warranty. I was not aware that the 2000 A6 models have only 3 yrs of coverage. What a joke. I am only three months out and my water pump need replacing. I get to shell out $550 after just having my brakes serviced for $900 last month. The only positive news is they are fixing my damaged front bumper complimentary. I feel so lucky!

I did my 90k service at 64k and they replaced the pump, and belts.
The pump was about to go, independent shop, did a good job, and they even saved the old pump to show me why they changed it. For the 90k, the belts, and the oil it was less than $1700, which for Norcal is not bad. Dealer wanted 2.3x that much.
