Default best news I've had in a long time...

Welp, it's official, I just got my car back from Rector Audi and they told me that I will need a new from bumper! Yahoo! I was really hoping that they would approve it as the front plate was removed from the car and has left an ugly scar to say the least. I can't wait to have the nose job done on my baby!!! I also picked up a set of Michelin Pilot Sports yesterday to be mounted on to my impatiently waiting bad boys. 245/35/19...overkill? Nah....pics to follow

http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/heyeugenio/lst?.dir=/RS4+19inches+of+hot+love&.view=t</a

Default Make sure they don't drill the new bumper...

Rector got nabbed a few months ago (I believe they were fined) for sending so many cars out without front plate holders...so now they've starting drilling the bumpers as the cars roll off the trucks (they previously would ask a customer first if they wanted it done)...

Just make sure they don't do it...if you don't tell them, they might just go ahead...

Nice wheels. OEM? You could have gone to 255/35/19.

Default I was just there yesterday & was told the same thing.

They're automatically drilling bumpers on Audis, but not on Porsches. I was there trying to work a deal on a new 4.2. Couldn't believe it - I told the sales person (same guy I ordered my 2000 2.8 through) what I was looking for (colors, options), and they have the EXACT car (Ming Blue, Platinum OR Ebony, Preferred, Sport, Cold Weather) in stock. I wonder what the odds of that happening are. Then the bad news - they don't pay squat for trades. He was only willing to give me around $7K LESS than what I think I ought to easily get by selling outright. I sure as hell am not going to pay that kind of money for the convenience of not having to sell the car myself. Besides, the in-stock car already had the front bumper drilled.

Default no no no...don't tell me that please....

that was the whole reason for having them take a look at my bumper in the first place. I just wanted a "clean" un interrupted look to the front of my car. Well, I'll wait until the body repair mgr calls me and I'll tell her that I've got a custom bracket that fits the front grill or some other cacamamie story. I don't want any piercings in her nose at all!

Default Re: Nice wheels. OEM? You could have gone to 255/35/19.

I thought about that long and hard re: 255's but I was sent a pic of 255'40'17's on the s6 wheels mounted on a 2.8 and noticed that they protruded out a bit too far. Plus, there's no way that I could have bought the Mich's for what I got them for...definitely a one time deal for sure. The good thing about it is that the 245's are already on a set of 19's so that I can do a trial fitment and ride comfort test without having to mount them on the new boys. At any rate, I'm overjoyed!!! I was at the dealer and I noticed that the OEM Alms TT's had the 18's which are IDENTICAL to the wheels that I have. Though they don't have OEM stamps, I'd figure them just as good if not better. I'll do follow up pics soon! TIA
