Car carrier and base fit perfectly in the back, but the front passenger seat has to be moved up a bit in order to get the carrier out smoothly. I was surprised how big the carrier/bas combo was once I installed it. Also, I didn't get the LATCH retrofit since I place the carrier in the center position.
Baby is doing great! Mommy is still recovering - "Gus" really put a hurtin' on her! (did I mention he was 9 lb 12 oz!?)

Wive's tales have it that they start sleeping longer the more they pass the 10 lbs mark. It seemed to be true for my two girls. If it works for you, you're most of the way there already!

Those contraptions can do a job on your leather after a while.
You'll be amazed how fast kids go through their own equipment upgrades. Before you know it, you'll need another type of seat, then another. And they are all bigger than you think.
