Who's done the AT service on an A6 Tip? Costs?
I figure $7/qt. for 4 qts. of Red Line ATF: what have folks paid for labor costs and the ATF Filter (please say if you had it done at a dealer or indy shop). My local excellent trusty indy shop figures 1.5 hrs., so about $110 plus ATF & filter.
Thx,
Jon
JimR did it on his A6 avant.

Heres what the tranny fluid that was in there looked like....
My dad and PaulW sent in an Oil Sample to a company (Paul help me out here) And the stuff was just plain nasty compared to the new Fluid, This was with approx 62k miles IIRC.
I think you need a tranny pan gasket too and a Bentley manual and a VAG-COM. I really don't know. My car is an old beater.

ZF Fluids

Specifically, they replied: "I would recommend the D4ATF in the Audi Tiptronic transmission, it is compatible but has not been submitted for approval and is red in color."
Why specifically do you not recommend it, it's among the best stuff out there?
Thanks,
Jon
