To create a signature, go to "post a message", or reply to a message. You'll see a link to "Preferences" next to your username. Click there and create a signature. You can use HTML in the signature.
To add a picture to your posts, use an < img > tag and add the address of the image in the src property like this:
src="http://www.bogusurl.com/images/fakepicture.jpg"
Just replace my bogus image src address with a real image address and remove the blank spaces around the < and >.
