Fuel Tank Capacity - not filling up?
Hello,
I've got a 99 Audi A6 2.8. The manual says it has an 18 gallon tank. However, when I fill up to the point where the pump clicks off, I only put in about 12 and a half gallons. The gas guage indicates a 3/4 fill, but I can't go any higher. I have not tried forcing more fuel into the system.
Is there a problem with fuel sensors in this model? I remember reading a recall notice at one point.
