Comfortable, quiet, sticky-in-the-wet tire? Suggestions welcome.
They may be on the bland side for you given the brands you are looking at, but I've had a few sets for summer use on the street, and they never overwhelm me nor to they grossly disappoint.
They are quite predictable and have a nice, gradual breakaway characteristic in the dry and wet, making them a somewhat boring, but safe tire for spirited street use.
Since you have track time (and driving schools?) under your belt, you might not value these attributes, but for my purposes, these tires are a pretty good compromise.
(they aren't that expensive either)
Just don't go near snow with them!!!
