A 4.2L 2003
Does anybody know if they changed relays or rack setup for 03? I had a 2002 A6 4.2 sport pkg cont wheels and loved it. traded in for a 2003 A6 4.2 sport pkg and feel the steering is much lghter?please email me at irvidell@aol.co with help

As far as I know the relay is the same but other factors can change steering feel.
Such as the type of tires and the inflation psi. Lower psi will increase the steering input resistance and softer compound tires will also increase resistance. Also weight is a factor. Since your 2002 was probably a little heavier ( less options on the 2003) this would also give a lighter feel. Just a little of easch of the above can cause the difference you may be feeling.. add in the superfluous anomalies of no two cars being the same and you have your answer.. Hope this helps..

My steering feels light or heavy at different moments, because of the factors listed...
... such as tire pressure and temperature, road surface, dampness, and so on. I'm using the 2002 628 module in my 2001 4.2.

Do you think the 605 relay would feel better? I have the same equipmet and the car is the same weight, only difference is this car has Telematics. I loved my 02 and right now hate the feel of my 03, I also find a lag when im cornering in the car till the steering straighens out? any ideas

Any ideas Stoney? would the 05 relay be better than the 628?Is there any tweaking on the computer? The dealer has advised me after complaining to the factory rep they would consider changing the rack? Help
