'01 2001 A6 Suspension Changes
I just bought a used 2001 A6 2.7t with the non-sport package (also 15" wheels with stock Continentals). I would like to upgrade the suspension on the car, but keep to a budget of $1000. Based on threads on this site, I have the following options:
- Upgrade shocks
- Upgrade springs
- Upgrade sway bars (front and rear)
I am looking for advice on what direction to go - thoughts?
I am also considering 17" wheels, but will replace when I need new tires.

My opinion..
Start with H-Sport sway bars, I think they will give you the best bang for your buck. Just the install costs of springs and shocks are about the same as the sway bars. You can probably can probably install the bars yourself.
I went with coilovers, 235/17, rear PSK sway ---- HUGE difference. I would have put the HSports on first but got great deal on coilovers.
