CEL solved! I am also dumb.
CEl came on a few days ago and almost lost a relationship becuase I was paying more attention to the car then the GF at the time. Well, after checking the AW archives, many posts pointed to checking the gas cap to be certain it is on all the way. I checked, and found no gas cap! $16.25 later, new gas cap on, no more CEL!

How did you lose your gas cap?? Audis have had notched gas caps for a long time, they sit on top of the fuel filler door when it's open. With the cap on the door, you'll never lose it.

I use the cap to operate the handle.....
It's just the right size to jam the nozzle on on those nozzles that have the autofill disabled.
Of course, one should, ahem, 'watch' the nozzle as the tank is being filled just in case the autofill notch piece was removed for a reason.....
Shut the pump off quickly if it overflows, doesn't shut off at the nozzle!!!!
