Default Ethics question.......

An ethics question....

If a person orders a product from a tuner that they turn out not to need and is unused and returned to the vendor in accordance with their stated policy and an authorized RA # how long should it take to receive a credit ( minus the agreed upon restocking fee of 10%) ???

I tracked the package via Fedex - it was received on the 24th of April. Since then I have sent three emails and made several calls to confirm that they had received the package and that everything was in order - all unanswered to date, and no credit.

This is one of the more respected "tuners", and I've bought a fair amount of stuff from them in the past ( they always seem willing to share info and time when I'm buying....) Thoughts on how I should handle this ?

Ironically I'd like to buy other things but can't get ahold of them for that either nor am I feeling that I want to support this company... although I may have to since they are the sole importer of some parts I wish...

TIA for any insight...

Default No, you have a business question...

I would retract the credit card sale.....too bad if you paid by check or have had the stuff longer than 60 days, but you can still try.

you've done enough...dispute the charge with your CC company.

Default This is inexcusable behavior.

It's unfortunate they're the "only" place for the stuff you want (which I question). Any company that I can't get hold of when I want to BUY SOMETHING is not one with which I'd do business. Regarding your current dilemma, I'd dispute the charge with my card company as others have suggested, and keep trying to make contact. Good luck. Post their name here if you are ultimately dissatisfied with your teratment.

Default I would NEVER buy from them again unless they compensate you

for your troubles. I would write a letter using www.planetfeedback.com, I would take advantage of the better business bureau and I would write to the owner.

Then I would share with everyone here who this tuner is so it doesnt happen to any of us (I Know who it is and had the SAME trouble with them).

Make sure they either pay for your troubles or make sure they lose money in the long run.

I have NO patience for this sh*t.

Go get 'em

Default It sucks, but MANY places take up to 30 days to refund money.

If it were my business it would be done immediately.

Default No problem with 30 days - but at least acknowledge my emails / calls...!!

It's not the money - but rather the manner it's been handled in.... it took 3 weeks just to get them to respond to get the RA #... and I was told I'd have a prompt credit. But the real point is the lack of response to a concern despite multiple attempts on my part......

Too bad since I kinda thought they were good guys and ran a decent business.... and IF they wouldv'e returned my calls/ emails I might of just used the credit to buy other stuff - But I can't even do that !!

thanks for the thoughts and suffering my whining....

Default I hear you man and there really is no excuse. On the other hand, I think most people on here

would be amazed to find out how busy some of these tuners/resellers actually are. So if you thought they were good guys befoere, well, they probably still are. My bet is that they are oversubscribed. Of course, the counter argument to that is to higher more people, but then again that means less money : )
