SWEET! What brand should my new tires be?

Discount tire called Conti and I get $179.00 per tire!

Maybe that damn shake and vibration will be gone.

I was at dealer today and they said all their 4.2 owners have dumped the Conti's because of problems with vibrations. Now I'm the next one!

I have Sumitomo HTRZ IIs on my V8q and 4.2. Wet and dry traction are excellent and the price is right. However, they do tramline more than the factory Pirellis did.

I may soon buy four Cooper Zeos 2XS tires, despite the stupid name.

They have a 45-day trial. If they are unsatisfactory, then I'd consider four Bridgestone RE750.

Cooper is usually a private label manufacturer (Pep Boys). Funny to see...

...them go to premium tires. Their claim to fame is the $29.99 tire.

I bought S-03 tires for the six or eight days a year that I drove on a track.

Now that the S-03 tires are worn, I'll choose tires for the road, not the track. The next set of tires will be grippy and smooth-riding and quiet. I liked the Firestone SZ50 tires on my Subaru SVX. I didn't like the Conti SportContact that came on my A6. The S-03 sticks like glue and steers well, but I think that there are better choices for the road. It's all a matter of balancing traction, comfort, longevity, and cost.

I switched to yokohama ES100s after burning through 2 sets..

of SO3s in about 14,000 miles. I have also used Dunlop SP9000s and Yokohma AVS Sports onmy other cars. I highly recommend the ES100s if you don't want to give up too much performance.
