Default I may buy this one, need advice
I found 2002 A6 4.2L with little under 4K miles on it. It won't be Audi assured but price is good. $40K.

Is there any thing specifc that i should look for on this car?

someone traded it in for an Expedition (according to the dealer). Says the guy needed more space (and did not care about money).

car fax is clean and i went to local Audi service dept. There was no entry there for this car (i do have the VIN).

then something is wrong, becuase there will be dealer prep in the system

Default The CARFAX VIN report is not the same. All Audis should have a service record as the dealer
get reimbursed by audi for doing teh delivery preperation as if it were a warranty service

Why isn't it Audi assured? Maybe it is not worthy of being Audi assured. I would be suspicious of that. Also, I believe the additional warranty of an Audi assured car adds a lot of value. Without it, I would question if the car is worth $40k.
