A couple of surprises on the way home last night
On my 'spirited' drive home, I floored it in tip mode (1st gear) and let the car upshift at redline as usual. In the midst of second gear I eased off the gas and as the car slowed down it shifted back into first gear. Huh? So now it will downshift into first automatically too???
Pulling into my garage I heard a strange jingly noise like glass pieces being shaken around. I moved back and forth in the garage and realised that the noise is loudest when changing gears. Fearing some transmission mishap, I sadly left the garage only to see glass pieces from broken bottles of beer in my driveway. DOH! How did I miss that???
It cannot be safe to drive around on tires that have shreds of glass stuck in them. What can I do to remove them?
