Default Having fun with Beamers today. (Long)

Heading out of Silverthorne, CO. en route to Denver with the wife and our German Shepherd, we hit the I-70 on ramp heading for the Continental Divide with a BMW dropping in behind. This section rises for 7 miles with a 6% grade from about 9,500 ft elevation to about 12,000 ft or so. I'm watching the BMW in my mirror and just keep pushing it up easy to see if he is gonna stay close or drop back and thinkin, if he stays with me, I'll just push a bit harder and see what he's about. Well, I don't even move hard enough to make the wife mad, so I'm goin pretty easy and the Beamers fallin back a bit so I think no more about it and we start climbing. About a minute later the Beamer comes up easy and passes me on the left and as he goes by I see it's an M3. I keep pace but respectable because I have family which he can see, and he's got 340+ hp I know, but I'm glad for the turbos, or we would flat out had to pretend we were looking at the Mt. views and never saw him at all. So I'm smilin inside and having fun though I'm wishin I was chipped, where at 12000ft, I think I'd be his match. So three miles up, here comes another one and passes respectable on the left and pulls in between me and the M3 and sits there and this ones shows M5. Well this is something I say to myself, and real soon the M3 moves off smartly with the M5 behind and I give it all but am just droppin back slightly in the 2.7T as we move up to 95mph on the climb. Then everyone settles down and we move through the tunnel at the top of the pass and start down the big hill to Denver. Now everyone has plenty of manners and a healthy respect for the law although we push a bit here and there runnin from 65MPH up to 90+for short distances. We're running in a line, changing lead now and again and getting passed on occasion by some SUV nobody pays any mind to, but mostly passing everything else. This is fun and friendly and goes on for about 30 miles or so when the Interstate starts to twist and turn through a canyon and the limit goes to 50 MPH. Well, the M5's on the lead and I'm between Beamers, when this 325i comes rippin in the left lane and pulls in between me and the M5 and just hugs his *** like a stallion with one thing on his mind and an attitude to boot. Traffic has bunched up and this is gettin more interesting by the moment from my seat. Even the wife has got her attention aroused, which is not that easy an accomplishment. So the M5 moves out a bit, not likin this behavior, and passes a Ford pick up to his left and slips in front. Now there is only a car length plus maybe 2 inches for the 325i, but this guy pulls hard in behind. The Fords brake lights flash and he swerves and I jump in my seat watchin as the 325i slips off the shoulder of the highway but immediately pops back up no worse for it. All is well and the 325i is right back on the M5 waitin his chance and when he gets it, he floors it and goes by. The M5 does nothing, glad to be rid of this nut like a fly on a bull's *** but the M3, to my surprise, rips by me and away they both go. About 3miles up the road we catch the M3 again, the other gone, and settle in together down to Denver. The M3 takes an exit and the M5 and me roll to I-25 where I get off but that sure made for a fun trip.
