bent rear suspention - unknown part
I have a 95 A6 2wd wagon, and I recently heard a groaning noise coming from the rear when cornering. It turns out that the rear axel (stationary on this car) has some sort of support beam bolting from one side of it, up to the opposite side of the suspention in a diagonal fashion.
Lo and behold, this bar is bent and partly cracked, and I'm not sure what the part is called, what will happen if it snaps, or even if I can take it off and replace it with all wheels still on the ground. :^(
