Link to several new BMW 5 series pics.
I apologize if this has been posted before but thought you might be interested in seeing how ugly the new 5 series really is. I think BMW is back to being BMW! Unemotionally designed cars that perform extermely well. I really do think that they make the ultimate driving machine. Oooops did I say that on the Audi board? Truth is, my 02 M5 was the best handling (razor-sharp) ride I ever had. Did I look back after parking it to admire its design? No! I do that with my Audi. And don't tell me the RS6 beats the M5! I haven't driven the RS6 yet, but a car that needs TWO turbos to perform doesn't... I can't say that!

You're right...the interior is HORRIBLE. Very Japanese, in my view.

Steering wheel looks Saab-ish (NOT a good thing).
Dash lines are just plain goofy.
6-speed is the only nice item in the photo!

Where have all the instruments gone? Why is it that cars these days are skimping on the dials? ONly tach, speedo, and fuel (plus that dumb mpg or l/100km indicator). Where is oil pressure, oil temp ENGINE TEMP??!?!?!?! What gives?
