What to look for...
Well unfortunately the A6 left the road, and in doing so encountered quite a bit of damage. Those orange highway cones and markers aren't the softest things in the world.. and the 10" drop or so off the edge of the pavement (construction zone) didn't help! From what I can tell the following is going to need to be looked at:
front end, driver's side front quarter-panel, drivers side rocker panel, driver's side rear quarter, rear bumper, trunk lid (scratching head), driver's side wheels are mangled, will need 4 new tires, and can't tell about anything underneath.
Has anyone else had a similar encounter that can provide "gotchas" as far as repairs?
2000 A6 4.2 with Sport Pkg.
Things I'm curious about are suspension components, unibody, etc..
Will try and get pics tomorrow.

A link to the pics... wish I could see underneath a bit more. The direct sun, without a filter, obscures the scratches in many of the pics

Just got the call today from McDonald Collision. It'll be 8-10 days for the repair work and 5 days waiting for parts. I'm going to call them to get some specifics on what they found and will put that up.
