Default A guy called Dave who frequents RS6.com had it done. Says it's awesome.

However, anyone who has the RS 6 chippery done ends up selling with a few weeks for some reason or another, so I'm staying where I am at 450bhp for now.

Dave's first two reports went thus;
<b>"Bawahaha hahahahahahahahah Bwhahahahahahahahah!! Bawahahhahah

505bhp, 630Nm .. hahahahahahahahahahah

I haven't laughted so much since I was a kid, I would say that it pulls like a train, but I don't reckon trains are as powerful as this

It now has a new raw edge that is just stunning.. you can almost feel the wheels scrabbling for grip and then it just pins your head back.

Put you toe down and within secs you'll be doing well over a ton

I'll give you all a more detailed report later,
I'm off to play again
Cheers
delighted Dave

Bawhahahahhahh hahahahaha hahahahahah"</b>

and

<b>"it's not so much the increase in power (bhp) which is up by around 60bhp, but the torque.

It just grabs each gear and chews up the tarmac.. when the turbo's spool up it's amazing.. it's difficult to describe, but the car holds more power and for longer.

The way the rev counter climbs is well.. just funny. I mean the car isn't slow as standard.. but it's also comfortable.

The chip removes some of the comfort (the gears bang in more roughly but quicker) and the car becomes more raw and more of a true drivers car."</b>

So there you have it.

Default No, but the Oettinger!!!

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/26588/oers6_02.jpg">

and it is awesome

Press release OETTINGER-RS6 4.2 Biturbo
April 2003

According to a famous saying, ,,you can never have enough of a good thing". Now all Audi RS6 owners can have even more of that with which the standard model is already well endowed, Power! True to the companies long and successful tradition, OETTINGER raise the output of the Audi Biturbo engine from the standard 331 kW (450 PS) to at least 368 kW (500 PS). This is achieved with a skilled reprogramming of the engine management system based on knowledge and experience within the company.

As is to be expected from the engineers in Friedrichsdorf, extensive test bed and track tests have been undertaken in order to develop an optimal power and torque curve which now peaks at a brutal 650Nm (480lb/ft). Following the electronic doping, the OETTINGER RS6 catapults to 100 km/h (62mph), in a timed sprint, of just 4.5 seconds. This is ½ second quicker then standard version. Of course the gearbox management is also revised to match the increased power and torque characteristics. In addition OETTINGER can also remove the speed limiter if required, this then allows a maximum speed. of over 300 km/h (188 mph), depending on tyres and equipment.

The visual presence is enhanced with new 19" and 20" OETTINGER type RZ wheels together with the specially tuned stainless steel adjustable suspension and OETTINGER high performance brake kit with cross drilled front and rear discs with 380mm (15") diameter at the front. The improvements then culminate visually and acoustically with the new Stainless steel exhaust system from the turbocharger back.

Finally it might be interesting to add that Ruediger Voelkner, the MD of Oettinger Technik GmbH, commented that further development of the Biturbo motor is possible "but this would require more radical modifications" he stated, "we are working on it though" he then added with a twinkle in his eye!

Default Not been around on rs6.com so much, think he's on rs246.com & tyresmoke.net

But they are a bit more UK-centric, so it's understandable I guess. Me, I'm just a Xenophile I guess!

Who's afraid of an E55 AMG in a straight line? Not you.

Does it exist yet? Twin turbo tunability is far beyond the grasps of a belt driver lux sedan.

Default Yes it exists... the world of MB tuning is growing at a rapid

pace. The E55 uses a supercharger, not turbos. The new CL600, S600, etc. will use twin turbos. There are companies that do chip tuning, supercharger replacements, engine kits, etc. I think you would be suprised how much is out there for MBs now. The tuning options are much more expensive for MBs, however, they produce some sick cars. If you have any specific questions, I'd be glad to answer them.
