Default 2004 Purchase (2.7t in DC Area)

I have a two questions -
1) Does anyone know what will be new in 2004 (dealer only aware of Satellite Radio)

2) And recommendations on where to go to get the best deal on a 04 2.7t in the DC Area?

Thanks!

Default I posted order guides here about a month ago. Search ?

Pricing often arrives a week or two before the new model year cars. That said, the '04s should arrive in late Aug/early Sept.

Thanks for the info - found it no problem searching for "order guide". Do you happen to know if the NAV system is changing or if it is the same as 02?

Thanks!

Default DC Area Dealers

I purchased my 2002 A6 from Audi of Alexandria (AoA). From my personal experience and from what I read, they are one of the best, if not the best, in the DC area for service. Don't under rate the quality of service.

I also got the best price from them. When I bought mine, the 02s were on the lot for only about a week and in high demand. My salesman Chip said Edmunds did not have any True Market Values for 02s. I said, why don't you give the same discount as was appropriate to achive the Edmunds TMV for an 01. He said sure (which amounted to around $2.5k off list). Every other dealers in the DC area told me over the phone that they could give me that deal for an 01, but an 02 would be sticker price, or just a couple of hundered under sticker. HBL of Tysons in person and on the phone was rude and had a very arrogant attitude, acting like it would be my loss if I did not buy it from them.

Good luck.

Default Richard Morgan at Rockville is pretty good.....

...though Alexandria service is better. Get a quote from Richard and see if Alexandria can beat it. Alexandria adds the VA processing fee of $200+ which MD doesn't have. MD tries to add $25 but discounts it if you even so much as question it. E-mail me if you like, putting your nick in the subject block....

Default I've dealt with Richard and was unimpressed.

I would do business with Rockville again but not Richard.

Default I believe the 2004 will be the last of the present A6

It will probably have even less resale value then other Audis (none of them are very good at resale). You might be better off getting a left over 2003 2.7t 4.2 or S6 or waiting for the new A6.

Default A couple of new colors...

2.7T and 4.2 will be available in Dolphin Gray (ala A4) and Burgundy Red Pearl Effect (ala allroad). Ming Blue will be replaced with "Night Blue" (don't know what it will look like).

"Infotainment Packages" include choice of Sirius or XM satellite radio + Bose system, OnStar, prewiring for digital phone. (Bose and OnStar available ONLY as part of Infotainment Packages)

That's all I know. Anyone else?

Default It helps if you buy it where it will be serviced. (It shouldn't matter, but it does.)

Generally, dealers give favorable treatment (loaners, audi loaners) to those who buy there.

I think it is hard to conclude that one dealer offers better prices than another. Not enough data to say one way or the other.

HBL in Tysons is really upgrading both facilities and service personnel. I'm not sure how the sales side is.

Default Good experience at Rockville w/ Bob Brown

Just got my A4 there for $495 over invoice. Had excellent service there too for the one problem I've had, but make sure Andy is your service advisor, I've heard bad things about the others.
