Dash swap from this weekend (for those who are following) BWW

All said and done, it took me about 6-7 hours to do the entire job..which incorporates a learning curve for these 'new' Audis and that my Bentley CD was in my home computer....

I'm settling on a new house in Jan., so I need to squirrel away all the cash I can; the finishing touches and paint will have to wait.

Anyhow, this was a fun way to spend a Saturday...not that I'd recommend it just for giggles. :P

Very impressed!! Looks like MTV just PIMPED your ride.

What else did you need to remove to allow you to pull the entire dashboard out? Obviously, the center console area around the radio needs to be removed....but it looked like there were some plastic clips up near the windshield that were holding the dashboard in.

I've taken out the glovebox, instrument cluster...and drivers' lower dash in my A6 .....and from my memory...it doesn't look like there are a whole lot of bolts holding in the dashboard.

Also, would you be willing to sell me the brushed steel/aluminum trim that is surrounding the drivers' side vent? Mine has got some deep scratches on it. I wonder if that kind of trim is fixed into the dash.
