But someone wanted to see a shot from the rear.

Poor lighting + friends digital camera =

Hey, at least you really get a sense of how wide the car looks from the rear.

Perhaps I'll get a decent outside shot one f these days

Default thats one chubby car.

the fender flares and wide tires make the car look substantial. the smoked tails looks pretty nice as well.

Default So it's got the track of an RS6 with 4.2 fenders, right?

I kind of have the "junior" version with the track of a 4.2 in 2.7T fenders. If you look at the new Acura TL and TSX, you'll see how they have the tires right out near the fender line. I think it looks great; and it can't hurt handling to have the base of the car farther outboard.

Do you have any interference issues?

Default Nah...

...One of the things I always liked about the A6 was the sweeping rear end, and how it looks with the curve of the tail lights. Distinguishable (if thats even a word) from the Passat greatly (by thoes who dont know Audi or the difference).

Plus, with so many RS 6 components already, it would become pouseresque (another made up word) or simply over the top.

Besides with the S-Line models being so similar, again, this keeps my A6 with its original feel, and I just dont like how spoilers look. No offence to you spoiler fans, just not my preference on any car.

Default That was the general idea....

....Figured, if its good enough for the RS 6, it will work without incident for the 4.2 since spacing/clearence and many design similarities are present between the two models.

The wheels are just the right size and with the 4.2 about three quarters of an inch lower then the RS 6 suspension height, it really fills in the wheel gap and fender flairs perfectly.

With the 4.2 whels on a 2.7T, do they extend beyond the fender and do you have any rubbing issues?
