allroad guy might be switching to CPO S6

I have an 04 AR which I like, but I have found a CPO S6 with 43k miles single owner. I am thinking of trading in my AR. It is a lust thing I suppose. Anyone have any comments?

Yesterday, someone in Canadia was looking to sell an S6 here.

You may want to check it out. I don't know what the importation or warranty issues might be.

I want the airsuspension from an allroad in my A6.

Both cars are sick. S6 or allroad, hard choice. You can mod the S6 to look like a RS 6 avant. Thats a plus in the looks dept. Both are fine machines. Which ar do you have? 4.2?

I spent some time test driving allroads. Nice motor, suspension left a lot to be desired (IMO). If you really are going to take it offroad, it's useful. However, my stock A6 suspension rode better and handled better, and now that I've got HSport bars and Bilsteins...

I've owned two vehicles with air suspension systems (a '95 Range Rover County LWB and a '99 Range Rover 4.0SE). Again, great offroad, but the air suspension isn't specifically designed for performance. And the potential maintenance costs scare me.

That's why I ended up in my A6 3.0 quattro avant. Nice motor, great suspension, less to break.
