Noisy brake lockout mechanism in tip shifter

Default Noisy brake lockout mechanism in tip shifter
Hope that makes some sense. Anyway I just noticed that when I press the brake to shift from P (or N if I were ever in N) there is an audible clicking sound. This must be my lockout but it has not always been so noisy I could hear it. I would like it to be quiet again. Any BTDT on this topic?

Default Same thing happened to me after taking the shifter out to polish the bezel
I will work on it this week end. I'll let you know what I find then.

Mine was a bit noisy just before my tip circuit board failed.
