Default Some tight new R38s coming later this week or early next...the S6 is gonna look sweet!

Well ok, they are really the 'back-up' wheels so I can send the RS 6 wheels out to get refinished (too much curb rash)...but they are really nice looking wheels...rally and seattle audi had them on their S6s on my visit to Seattle a couple years ago...
Got the 18 inchers...even though the 17s would have been a few hundred $ cheaper...I wish they had 19s really...just like the look...

Then I'll get an alignment and hopefully all this vibration crap should be done with...finally.

One question I'm not sure what to do about is whether I should get them road-force balanced at the time of the alignment...they come 'balanced' from Ronal...but I really wanna cure this vibration issue.

Got the cheapo Pirelli Nero M&S...they should perform well enough for the type of driving we do in Scottsdale (lots of cops and photo-radar, etc) and my wife does most of the driving...saved $450 or so over the cost of Pilot Sports...

Default Nice choice in wheels...

I bought a tire and wheel package from Ronal and the balance was just okay IMO.

I was down in your neck of the woods the other week chasing a little white ball around and realized I'd forgotten to contact you before I left. I tried looking you up down there without success.
I realize you don't want all those people returning their gov't toilet seats at all hours of the day and night but a simple initial in the directory would have been nice!
I thought Larry might be of help but I remembered his new delivery just a few days prior to my arrival.

I'll send you an email.

Default I got 18" R38's this spring. . .

I love 'em. I had no vibration issues at all. They're sitting in my cellar now because I'm running stock BBS' w/ nokian WR's for the winter. What type of business is curing the road rash so I know where to look come spring and how much $ ? Also thinking of powdercoating them black.

Default I've been really happy with the R38s (my winter wheels).

I've got 17s and used them on my S4 and now my S6. They are very durable. I've got Pirelli Snowsports on mine and had no complaints about the Ronal balance. Audi centercaps are a must IMO because the Ronal ones look like crap. Also, and this probably isn't as big an issue in Scottsdale, they include a plastic hubcentric "spacer" embedded within the wheel that, after two seasons, fused onto the hubs of my car and required a screwdriver and their destruction to remove them. Replacements were something like $10 and Gary was helpful.

Default Yeah, they're sending the Audi caps...

Yeah, the Ronal caps look horrible...I've seen the wheels on rally's and seattle audi's cars and they look awesome...nearly the same as the RS 4 wheel but for 1/2 the price...both look great.

I may just ask the Audi dealer to check the balance of the wheels when they do the alignment...which I know it needs given the wear pattern on a couple tires...
