Guess you can do this if the numbers are small. Great PR move.
"A faulty brake light switch is to blame for Toyota's recall of 5937 Lexus RX300s and 1109 examples of its European and North American Car of the Year, the Prius. Oxidisation on the switch can cause the brake lights to stop working on second-generation Priuses built before May this year, and all Lexus RX300s built before July.
Toyota has assured Autocar that owners are being notified immediately and that in both cases, a quick one-hour fix is all that's required to sort the fault.
If a recall notice arrives through your letterbox, don't feel too bad about it - as well as carrying out the work, Toyota will throw in a complementary tank of fuel, a full valet and a bottle of champagne."
Guess Lexus isn't getting battered by the high Euro/low US dollar exchange like VWoA/AoA is currently getting hit, eh?
I've been in 1 Lexus dealer and felt uncomfortable. Everyone was just soooo nice. Just felt fake as he!!. I'll take my Audi dealership. At least I can swear in German when things aren't quite done right--that gets attention.
