Humming noise on start (2.7T)
Hi, everytime when i start the car (2001 A6 2.7T)
there is a loud low humming noise coming from the engine for about 1-2 minutes. Is it normal, this is my first turbo car - so i have no clue.
Car got CPO warranty - so you can tell me the truth.

Re: Secondary air injection pump - used to get the cat converter going sooner.
It's also a good indicator of when you can drive off. You may notice the car is reluctant to shift into 3rd gear (auto) until that pump shuts down.
