Everyone missed my question about my mirror in the post about the Vue.
The auto-dimming seems to be wearing out on the bottow left corner of my rearview mirror. Is this common? Can I expect it to grow?

Yes, I believe it was this board, but perhaps not your post. BostonDriver and others all chimed in with answers. To be quite honest, I hadnt noticed if I had black trim surrounding my mirrors and looked yesterday for the first time, to see that I did.
From what I gather, it will grow and continue to degrade. It needs to be replaced and is an easy DIY fix once you get the replacement mirror.
The guy with the SC question just annoys me, thats why I responded. Why anyoe would pay $5 grand for a SC on a 2.8 when they could have a chipped 2.7T instead (if they dont care about warranty) is beyond me.
Is that a better response. Sorry, I usually say STFA, but Repost is nicer

Yeah its a known trait, eventually you lose all functioning of it and sometimes the mirror becomes discolored. You can literally pop it off with a piece of plastic and pop in a new one.
I need to do this myself but havent had the time to check prices. If you find price on a heated mirror, let me know. TiA
