Alright, this guy was a real shumck, and he kind suckered me into being a dumbass too, but at least I have quattro.

He comes up on my left doing about 70, I'm doing 50, speed limit. We hit a broad left hand sweeper, I pull in behind him in the far left lane as we go past a couple of cars (we are both doing speed limit), at this point he stomps on the gas, makes an abrupt lane change across three lanes to the far right lane. I follow him with out half the hoopla of sliding and swerving across lanes.

He now starts getting on the gas around a broad sweeping downhill right hand turn. I am dead on his *** as you can see his car start to wiggle around a bit, but he keeps pressing on.

I have to admit - this guy was actually really ballsy, or plain ole dumb, because he was right on the verge of wrecking. The only reason I didn't swing out into the middle lane to blow past him is because I was afraid he was going to lose it around the turn.

(at this point no one was around us anywhere).

So I just stayed behind him in his lane and as we come out of the turn he floors his car - and I run right up into the back of his car - snap switch lanes into the left lane pull even with him, blink my brights and back off. i had zer o problems realing him in and pulling up next to him.

Anyway, this guy continues running out to about 5 car lengths, and then throws on his hazards - signalling that he's done. Puwhahhahahaha, that killed me man.

To think though, he probably thought I was racing him thru the turnies in the rain. Saying to his friend - "**** quattro, you see, he can't catch me in the turn in the wet." In reality, I was just waiting back to see if he was dumb enough to push the car to the point where he lost it.

Alright, flame on.

 

Still sounds a little dangerous, K. Where were you? Belt?

 

but take both cars... stock for stock.. equiped with sport packages on a track and the 540i will run circles around the 4.2.

the VZ, 1st left hand, then down hill right hander. Dude, I could see him just whiping out across all three lanes. I kinda felt like adickhead afterwards - that although he was dumbass, I probably made him push it to the limits of his car - and that wasn't really fair.

 

just goes to show that guys BMW driver mentality - that he thought he could outrun an AWD car in the rain around a turn.
