Toyota attacks!!
I was rear-ended tonight. Which makes it the 3rd time in 2004. The other noticeable fact is that all three times it was a Toyota driven by a female. Why?! Why women use my car, which just stands still in an afternoon traffic, as a stopping device? Do they hate me? Do they want to get my number confusing me with Clooney or Brad Peat? Is it a Toyota thing?
While the 1st two occasions resulted in bumper scratches, this time it looks a bit more severe. Getting an estimate tomorrow...

I got whacked three times by Toyotas too...
...one woman, two males. My Yukon sustained no damage - I know one of the Toyotas had $3k+ of damage (that accident did put a small dent in the rubber molding on the bumper - a $15.00 part...)

It's a Toyota thing. I notice more poorly driven Toyotas than any other brand.
At the slightest sign of a Toyota wavering, I immediately find another place on the road, as far away as possible.
It's not a local thing either. We've observed the same thing with Toyota drivers in a number of countries. Must be the demographic drawn to the brand. Does not seem to be gender oriented, although Toyota has a rather high female buyer ratio.

i rear ended an un-marked police car at a stop sign hard enough that the officer had to climb out the window. this is still on the record as the only time in my now 18 year driving history that i've caused such a disturbance - knock on wood - and my weapon of choice was a toyota supra (shown above AFTER the flawless $7K repair). i've blamed carelessness and impatience, a frost covered windshield, and "sun-blind" all these years as i "didn't have time" to wait for the windshield to clear before speeding off to school, but in retrospect perhaps it was all the toyota's fault ;~}.

it's the volvos here... "buy a safe car and drive slowly...
and you don't have to watch where you're going because you won't be hurt in the crash anyway"... seems to be the prevailing train of volvo thought in central pennsylvania. if you see one waiting to pull out at a side street you know to have the "brake foot" ready and give them a lane if you possibly can... the only problem then becomes their natural urge to take ALL the lanes. r.
